Binh Duong is currently the 2nd locality in the country in terms of attracting foreign investment after Ho Chi Minh City with a total of 4,016 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of more than 37 billion USD. US dollars. From a purely agricultural province to a rapidly developing province in industry – urban – service with 34 industrial parks (IZs), the province’s position is increasingly enhanced.

Methodical planning of industrial zones

Since the establishment of the first industrial park named Song Than 1 (1995), then the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP), Dong An, My Phuoc, Bau Bang … were born. Up to now, after nearly 25 years of establishment and development, Binh Duong has been approved by the Prime Minister for 34 industrial zones with a total area of ​​14,7290 ha. Of these, Binh Duong has established 29 industrial zones with a land area of ​​12,662 ha, of which 27 industrial zones have been put into operation with a total land area of ​​10,962 ha with an occupancy rate of over 88%.

 

 

When it comes to industrial zone development, Binh Duong soon oriented and determined to build concentrated industrial zones with the motto that industrial park infrastructure is one step ahead, ensuring service and attracting investment for industries. During the implementation process, Binh Duong knew how to combine forms of both taking the state-owned economic component and boldly allowing the non-state economy to build industrial zones. Thanks to that, from Song Than 1 Industrial Park, invested by Thanh Le Import-Export Trading Corporation, then many other industrial zones have been replicated such as Vietnam – Singapore (Becamex), Viet Huong (Viet Huong Joint Stock Company). ), Bau Bang Industrial Park (Becamex)…

In order to create a convenient supply chain for businesses, recently the Management Board of Export Processing Zones – Industrial Parks – Economic Zones in the provinces of Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Binh Duong signed a cooperation agreement with the company. Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board, forming a network to organize and support small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of supporting industries, serving investors in the region.

Currently, the investment in construction of technical infrastructure of the industrial park of the investor of the industrial park infrastructure is about VND 18,500 billion, reaching 56% of the total approved capital (the reduction rate is due to Cay Truong Industrial Park, VSIP III is being implemented. ). Along with that is the category of green trees in 29 industrial zones, over 655ha of concentrated trees and 104,803 scattered trees. To develop industrial zones, Binh Duong does not use state budget capital to invest in industrial park infrastructure, but instead mobilizes all resources and economic sectors to participate in development.

High-quality industrial park development strategy

In recent years, when the industrial land fund in the areas of Di An and Thuan An has almost exhausted, the province has shifted to planning large industrial zones in areas with a lot of vacant space such as Tan Uyen, Ben Cat. , Bau Bang, Bac Tan Uyen. The province’s policy of shifting industrial development to the North with industrial zones as a lever has been effective, helping localities develop industry very quickly. In which, the land fund for industrial park development in Bau Bang district has 1,000 ha, Bac Tan Uyen district has 215 ha, Tan Uyen town has 1,630 ha, Ben Cat town has 3,200 ha and Thu Dau Mot city has 765 ha. industrial-sustainable-development

Mr. Bui Minh Tri said, from now to 2025, Binh Duong aims to develop sustainable industrial zones according to the “3 in 1” model (IZ – urban area – service area) with a system of technical infrastructure Modern and synchronous technology and social infrastructure.
